Porter’s Tire Stores began with a night of prayer by the founder Ayers Porter.  Before Ayers was involved, the original store started out as an OK Recapper called Pickens and Thomas Tire.  It was located on Main Street in Morristown.  Later, that store was moved to its current location at 1735 Buffalo Trail where’s Ayers Porter started with one employee in 1952.  That was close to 60 years ago and now is in the fourth generation of the Porter family.  Now Porter’s Tire Stores employee over 40 people and the prayers continue on.   Click on images to enlarge
